About Us

Born and raised in Wisconsin, home of the Packers, Badgers, Warriors the Bucks and Brewers, interest in sports at an early age was simply not an option, it was a requirement. I was introduced to Sports gambling at a young age and I was fascinated by it. At that time with my limited knowledge, it was just that, gambling! There was scattered success and I lost more than I won. Eventually I tried the "Sports Services" which at that time were called "Touts". I was looking for any edge I could get. The "Touts" spent more time promising you the "Lock" of the century, game of the year or the $ Million dollar play. They would scream at you and hype was the key! These releases where typically bail out games after losing 8 or 10 in a row. It was not uncommon for the Touts to release both sides of a game to as many clients as possible and then call the clients who had the winners and PRESSURE them for a credit card number to buy their season package! Back in the 70's, the internet had not fully kicked in yet so phone services and 800 pick numbers where the norm. I tried a wide variety of services and had little long term success. Sure, winning streaks of 2 or maybe 4 days but nothing sustained. I became disillusioned as I knew there had to be a way to win more and do it better. I continued to follow Sports and handicap sporting events on my own, developing my own systems and techniques. I partnered up with one of my Geek Buddies who was computer savvy and we started playing around with statistics, game outcomes and trends. I was getting pretty good at capping games and he noticed it as well as my other friends. Over the years I became so good in fact that my friends, colleagues and associates would call me regularly for advice. Usually when they told me who they were going to play, I was already on the other side. They started to ask "Who's your Hot-lock?" It got to the point where I was flying to Nevada often and having a great time! I was always invited to come along with groups for my handicapping prowess and they would pay my way. Getting comped rooms is terrific, coming home with a boatload of cash is even better! I ventured into the Financial Services field as I appeared to have a knack with money and worked in that area primarily while still devoting a great deal of time and effort into handicapping and continued to do well. After years of consistent success and after some prodding by my friends, I decided to start a Sports Service as I wanted to prove to people that you could run a legitimate Sports Service with integrity and success. I remembered all the Services I had used and quickly began to do the opposite. It ticked me off that Cappers who had NO business charging for their plays were out there doing just that! I registered on the Procappers Challenge in 2005 and had some success. Then in 2007, I won the $25,000 ProCappers Challenge. That's when things really took off. I began getting subscribers from all over the world who wanted to sign up. I was getting regular emails from people and the traffic to my website exploded. Since then we have made significant improvements to the website to handle the traffic and frankly, we have weeded out the "gamblers " who are simply looking for the quick score. My Geek buddy put together the finishing touches on the computer program that he was working on over years and we finally honed it into a comprehensive data base and a game simulator that has been providing optimal predictions and a base line for my handicapping. We update these statistics daily and have built in some unique features of handicapping that truly capture the advantages we seek and measures the trends appropriately. Now I know there is no such thing as a lock, I understand that, but I recall so many services promising their LOCKS that I had to use the name, hence HotLockSports was born. We have a nice solid following of Members who subscribe to our service and new people are joining all the time. Our money management rating system is based on a simple 1 through 5 grading system rating the strength of the release with 5 being the highest. My strategy is to build units and win money over the long haul. Our HotLocks are our single releases that we periodically post and they are our strongest plays. The last year we hit at a 64% winning percentage, and these are all 5 unit plays. Our clients are now playing these selections at 6 or 7 units due to their strength and success. The other key is we do not just play heavy favorites. We look for underdogs who can win outright. We love "Dogs"!
There will be the occassional losing streak here and there and if anyone tells you they do not lose, they are lying to you. If you are disciplined and patient, we will do well together.
